Pokalde Peak (5806 m) Climbing

Tour Description

Although Pokalde Peak is comparatively smaller than the others, it still rewards climbers with excellent views. Its appearance is of a crenellated rocky ridge, dominated by the vast bulk of Nuptse.
The mountain has a small hanging glacier, best reached along the ridge rising from Kongma La on its northern side.

Itinerary:

Day 01 : Fly, Kathmandu to Lukla (2835 m) then start trek to Phakding (2652 m). Camp at Phakding
Day 02 : Phakding / Namche Bazaar (3446 m)
Day 03 : Rest at Namche bazaar
Day 04 : Tyangboche (3867 m)
Day 05 : Pheriche (4252 m)
Day 06 : Lobuche (4930 m)
Day 07 : Trek to Kalapather (5545m) and back to Gorak Shep. Camp at Gorakshep
Day 08 : Excursion to Everest Base Camp and trek back to Lobuche
Day 09 : Lobuche / Dingboche (4343 m)
Day 10 : Dingboche / Chhukung (4730 m)
Day 12 : Chhukung / Pokalde Base Camp
Day 13 : Climb the peak and back Chhukung
Day 14 : Extra day in case of bad weather
Day 15 : Chhukung / Dingboche (4343 m)
Day 16 : Dingboche / Tyengboche (3867m)
Day 17 : Namche Bazaar (3440 m)
Day 18 : Phakding (2610 m)
Day 19 : Lukla (2840 m)
Day 20 : Fly back to Kathmandu
